Now, more than ever, it’s critical that students have the tools they need to read, understand, and develop ideas from texts. Lavinia Group’s Guided Reading method incorporates practices backed by current research on the Science of Reading to teach students to both decode the words on the page and then to make meaning based on what they have read. When paired with systematic phonics instruction, high-quality Guided Reading is a powerful tool for addressing student learning loss and supporting students in reading on grade level.
